Reworking

Our assignment for Character Design this last week was to take one of our villains and one of our heroes and rework them. The challenge was to incorporate elements of story and personality into the characters as well as appealing design. So I reworked my non-stereotypical males, since I felt they had the most potential for interesting story and also happened to be the two my classmates liked the least, thus having the most room for improvement. Plus, I really wanted to take another stab at anime, since I hated my last attempt so much. I like this new one much better.

Villains

More from the Heroes & Villains assignment in Character Design. I really tried to break out and experiment with some new styles on these ones.

Heroes

More Character Design homework. I freaking love that class.

Monster Week

The sketch theme for this last week in Gesture Drawing was (rather appropriately) monsters. I believe every week should be monster week. Happy Halloween everyone.

These I blame on Michelle. I asked her for fun animal combinations and she said "a fat rabbit anaconda and a dolphin kangaroo."

Self Caricatures

Another assignment for Character Design, we had to draw ourselves as five different personalities: fancy free, vain, easily irritable, quiet killer, silent leader. It was SO MUCH FUN. :D

Frodo Face

A quick celebrity caricature for Character Design. If you couldn't tell who it is without looking at the title, then I fail.

Silhouettes Refined

The final products of our three-week silhouettes assignment! Yay! Week one was the simple silhouettes. During week two, we went over them with white out to test a good variety of designs. And week three was dedicated to refining our designs into these finished line drawings.
