The main character in our film, who I had the great privilege to design. Many thanks to
Brandon, our director, for giving me this opportunity.
The final painting
My initial designs were a lot more cartoony (for both Paddy and Clarence). I wanted to play with a different style and I had been studying Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs a lot at the time...
Then he went on a sort of Jack Skellington kick...

NICE job. I really like how you design for three-dee with all three dee's in mind.
Oh I love it. Kinda got a weathered old folk singer face like Martin Carthy.
And I started the 3D version today.
Well done!
Mmmm. Good
*i* like it.
He looks totally believable and endearing as the protagonist of your story. I can't wait to see him "come to life" in the film.
The process of his evolution is most interesting to see, as well.
I love that he can do that independent eyebrow thing just like you and that he has such substantial footings... like he may look a little underweight, but, man you'd better believe he can stand his ground!
Lots of winning designs here, sister Stebar.
what a process. he looks great. i'm so glad you got to design him!
Hello!!!!!
I found your blog on internet and I liked!!
It's interesting!!!
I love him and his big eyebrows and his baggy boxing shorts. It makes me happy.
:>
(I'm feeling the Anthony Holden in some of these, lol!)
